Laryssa Vachon is a singer-songwriter currently based in Vancouver, BC. With over a decade of classical music training and a love for sad songs, she released her first single, “Lie to Me,” in 2021 with the help of a UK producer who responded to one of her singing videos on social media.
Since then, she has made connections with the broader music community all over the world, where she works as a vocalist for EDM collaborations.
While her vocals are well-suited for the melodic bass EDM tracks she records, her own sound as an independent artist aligns more with the genres of Pop and Alternative/Indie Pop. An audience member once described her songs as “Pop hits with depth and feeling.”
Using music to explore every possible version of herself, Laryssa is currently writing songs for a future EP, performing originals and covers with her ukulele, and taking every opportunity to connect with the vibrant local music community.
Shane Stephenson, a Vancouver-based music producer, songwriter, and founder of Listening Party Recordings, is known for his fresh and commercially competitive sound. With a passion for both performance and production,
Shane has helped artists like Xana and Derrival reach millions of streams, blending his own genre-spanning sensibility with a collaborative, artist-centered approach.
Through years of experience both in the studio and on stage, he creates music that’s authentic, immersive, and designed to connect deeply with listeners.
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t a songwriter. Words on paper were my best friend, my confidant, my therapist, and salvation. Throughout time my songs have graduated from poetic splashes of art to more truthful and vulnerable commentaries on the struggles of life and love.
Currently I am based in Vancouver, but my former home in Toronto was a necessary learning curveball into performing and music industry antics. I’ve worked hard to grow up artistically, and although I fall into the folk genre, I wear my cowgirl hat proudly. I divide my time between two studios (mine at Dharma and Oh Dear Studios in Kelowna) with producer Michael Averill, and whenever I can I record with as many other projects that my time can allow.
